Overview

This one-day itinerary covers the breathtaking landscapes around Ella, Haputale, Bambarakanda, and Diyaluma Waterfalls—perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers!

🚗 Morning: Ella → Haputale (Approx. 1-hour drive)

1. Leave Ella early (around 6:30 AM) for Haputale
2. Lipton’s Seat – Enjoy a panoramic sunrise view over tea plantations
3. Dambatenne Tea Factory – See the tea-making process and taste fresh tea

 Mid-Morning: Haputale → Bambarakanda Waterfall (Approx. 1.5-hour drive)

4. Visit Bambarakanda Falls – The tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka (263m)
• Short hike (1.5km) to the base for stunning views
• Optional: Take a refreshing dip in the natural pool

🌿 Afternoon: Bambarakanda → Diyaluma Waterfall (Approx. 1-hour drive)

5. Diyaluma Falls – Sri Lanka’s second tallest waterfall (220m)
• Hike to the Upper Pools for incredible views & natural infinity pools
• Enjoy swimming in the cascading pools

🏞️ Evening: Return to Ella (Approx. 1.5-hour drive)

• Relax & enjoy Ella’s cafes or unwind at your hotel
